A quick and easy Halloween cocktail featuring vodka, apple cider, caramel syrup, and a real candy apple garnish. Perfect for last-minute party prep, this festive drink balances tart apple and sweet caramel for a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka (Tito’s or Absolut recommended)
  • 4 oz apple cider (unfiltered preferred)
  • 1 oz caramel syrup (Torani or homemade)
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • Ice cubes (preferably large)
  • 1 candy apple per serving (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: Cinnamon stick for garnish
  • Optional: Caramel drizzle for rim or garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glass: optionally rim with caramel sauce and dip in crushed graham crackers or cinnamon sugar.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (large cubes preferred).
  3. Add 2 oz vodka to the shaker.
  4. Add 4 oz apple cider (cold from the fridge).
  5. Add 1 oz caramel syrup (warm the bottle slightly if thick).
  6. Squeeze in 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice.
  7. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  8. Strain the cocktail into a glass filled with fresh ice.
  9. Gently place a candy apple on top of the ice (use a skewer if it sinks).
  10. Optional: Drizzle extra caramel over the candy apple or add a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a party, pre-mix the vodka, cider, caramel syrup, and lemon juice in a pitcher and refrigerate. Shake individual portions with ice and garnish just before serving. Do not add candy apples to the pitcher as they will dissolve. Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Store leftover mix (without ice) in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
