These Kid-Approved Turkey Cranberry Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls are quick, easy, and perfect for using up leftover turkey. With sweet Hawaiian rolls, tangy cranberry sauce, savory turkey, and melty Swiss cheese topped with a buttery poppyseed glaze, they’re a crowd-pleasing comfort food that comes together in under 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (1 package)
  • 1 pound cooked turkey, shredded or thinly sliced
  • 1 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese (or provolone, mozzarella)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Keep the Hawaiian rolls connected as a single slab and place them in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the rolls in half horizontally using a serrated knife. Lift off the top half and set aside.
  3. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Layer the shredded or sliced turkey evenly over the cranberry sauce.
  5. Lay the Swiss cheese slices over the turkey, tearing them in half and overlapping slightly to cover more surface area.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls back on and gently press down.
  7. In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until smooth. Brush this glaze generously over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle poppy seeds evenly on top.
  8. Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the sliders rest for 5 minutes.
  10. Use a sharp knife to cut between the rolls and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, toast the bottom half of the rolls in the oven for 2-3 minutes before assembling. Use room-temperature ingredients for even heating. Don’t overbake the glaze—watch closely during the final uncovered bake. Let sliders rest for 5 minutes after baking to prevent filling from sliding apart.
