witchs brew green punch - featured image

This witch’s brew green punch is the easiest way to level up your Halloween party without spending hours in the kitchen. It’s got that perfect balance of sweet and tart, that spooky green color that screams Halloween, and that bubbling dry ice effect that makes everyone feel like they’re at a real witch’s gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups pineapple juice (unsweetened works best)
  • 2 cups limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
  • 1 cup ginger ale
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 10–15 drops neon green food coloring (gel-based is best)
  • 1 small block dry ice (for effect, handle with tongs)
  • 1 cup gummy worms or gummy spiders (optional garnish)
  • Ice ring or large ice cubes (optional)
  • Fresh mint sprigs (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Chill your ingredients. At least 2 hours before you plan to serve, put the pineapple juice, limeade concentrate, lemon-lime soda, and ginger ale in the fridge. Everything needs to be ice-cold.
  2. Mix the base. In your punch bowl, combine the chilled pineapple juice and thawed limeade concentrate. Stir gently until the concentrate is fully dissolved.
  3. Add the fizz. Slowly pour in the lemon-lime soda and ginger ale. Pour it down the side of the bowl to keep as much carbonation as possible. Stir very gently—just two or three turns.
  4. Get the color right. In a small bowl, mix the neon green food coloring with 2 tablespoons of the punch liquid. Stir until combined, then pour this mixture back into the punch bowl. Stir gently. Add more food coloring drop by drop if needed.
  5. Add the fresh lime juice. Squeeze in the juice from two fresh limes. Stir once more.
  6. Prepare the dry ice (safety first!). Using tongs, carefully place a small block of dry ice into the punch bowl. Never touch dry ice with bare skin.
  7. Add the creepy garnishes. Drop in a handful of gummy worms or spiders. If you made an ice ring, place it in the center now.
  8. Serve immediately. Ladle the punch into clear cups, making sure each cup gets a gummy worm or two. The dry ice effect will last about 15-20 minutes, so add a fresh piece every half hour to keep the fog going.

Notes

Add dry ice right before serving for best fog effect. Keep a spare block in a cooler to refresh every 20 minutes. For an adult version, add 1 cup white rum or vodka. For less sugar, use diet soda and sugar-free limeade concentrate. Leftover punch (without dry ice) can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
