Warm, buttery ham sliders with a tangy homemade cranberry mustard and honey butter glaze. Perfect for cozy nights or feeding a crowd, these come together in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12-count package Sweet Hawaiian Rolls (or brioche slider buns)
  • 1 pound Honey Baked Ham, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices Swiss Cheese (or provolone, Gruyère)
  • 3 tablespoons Whole Grain Mustard (or Dijon)
  • ½ cup Cranberry Sauce (whole berry or jellied)
  • ¼ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Poppy Seeds (optional, or sesame seeds)
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a small bowl, combine ½ cup cranberry sauce, 3 tablespoons whole grain mustard, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well mixed. Set aside.
  3. Slice the entire pack of 12 Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected as a single slab.
  4. Place the bottom half of the roll slab into the prepared baking dish. Spread about half of the cranberry mustard mixture evenly over the bottom layer.
  5. Layer the thinly sliced ham evenly over the mustard-covered rolls. Top with 8 slices of Swiss cheese, overlapping if needed.
  6. Spread the remaining cranberry mustard mixture over the cheese layer.
  7. Place the top half of the roll slab over the cheese and ham. Press down gently.
  8. In the same small bowl, combine ¼ cup melted unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon poppy seeds. Whisk until honey is incorporated.
  9. Generously brush the honey butter glaze over the tops of the rolls. Let any extra glaze pool around the edges.
  10. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
  11. Remove the foil carefully and bake for another 5-8 minutes, until tops are golden brown and edges are bubbling.
  12. Let the sliders rest in the dish for about 5 minutes before slicing along the individual bun lines. Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, let ham come to room temperature before assembling. Make cranberry mustard ahead of time for deeper flavor. Do not over-bake; check at 5 minutes uncovered if oven runs hot. Let sliders rest 5 minutes after baking for easier slicing.
