A quick and easy smoothie bowl made with frozen banana, peanut butter, and protein powder, perfect for busy mornings or post-workout refueling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large frozen banana, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (natural, no-stir variety recommended)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (plant-based recommended)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (dairy-free if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 34 ice cubes
  • For topping: 2 tablespoons granola, 1/2 fresh banana sliced, 1 teaspoon chia seeds, drizzle of extra peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Prep your banana: Peel a large ripe banana and slice into 1-inch chunks. Freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Layer ingredients in blender: Add frozen banana chunks first, then almond milk, peanut butter, Greek yogurt, protein powder, and ice cubes.
  3. Blend: Start on low speed and gradually increase to high. Use tamper if available. Stop and scrape down sides halfway through. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste and adjust: Add honey or maple syrup if needed. Adjust peanut butter flavor if desired.
  5. Assemble and top: Pour smoothie into a bowl. Smooth top with spoon. Add toppings as desired.
  6. Serve immediately: Best texture right after blending.

Notes

Use ripe spotty bananas for best sweetness and creaminess. Layer ingredients in blender for optimal texture. Don’t over-blend to avoid warming the smoothie. Clean blender immediately after use.
