This Easy Candy Corn Bark is the perfect Halloween treat—salty, sweet, and impossibly crunchy. It comes together in under 15 minutes of active time and looks impressive with almost zero effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips or white chocolate melting wafers (recommend Ghirardelli or Guittard)
  • 1 cup mini pretzel twists, plus a few extra for topping
  • ¾ cup candy corn (classic Brach’s brand recommended)
  • ¼ cup salted peanuts (optional but highly recommended)
  • Flaky sea salt (for finishing)
  • 2 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (optional, for drizzle)
  • ½ teaspoon coconut oil or shortening (optional, to thin drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Prep your pan: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat, extending slightly over the edges for easy removal.
  2. Melt the white chocolate: Place white chocolate chips or wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring after each interval, until about 75% melted. Stir until residual heat melts the rest. Avoid overheating.
  3. Spread the chocolate: Pour melted white chocolate onto prepared baking sheet. Use a rubber spatula or offset spatula to spread into an even rectangle, about ¼-inch thick (roughly 9×12 inches). Work quickly.
  4. Add the toppings: While chocolate is still wet, scatter mini pretzel twists evenly, pressing gently. Sprinkle candy corn and salted peanuts (if using) evenly over the surface.
  5. Make the drizzle (optional): Melt semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl using 30-second intervals. If thick, stir in ½ teaspoon coconut oil. Transfer to a piping bag or ziplock bag with a tiny corner snipped off. Drizzle over bark in thin lines.
  6. Finish with salt: Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the entire bark.
  7. Set the bark: Place baking sheet in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until chocolate is completely firm. For quicker set, use freezer for 20 minutes.
  8. Break into pieces: Lift parchment paper off baking sheet. Use hands to break bark into irregular pieces. Serve at room temperature.

Notes

Use fresh candy corn for best texture. White chocolate is sensitive to moisture—ensure all tools are dry. Work quickly once chocolate is melted. Bark tastes even better the next day. Store in airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. Freeze for up to 2 months.
