A super easy, 5-minute Halloween punch made with just three ingredients. Orange sherbet melts into lemon-lime soda and cranberry juice, creating a creepy, foggy effect that kids and adults love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 gallon (3.8 liters) lemon-lime soda or ginger ale, chilled
  • 1 pint (475 ml) orange sherbet
  • 2 cups (475 ml) cranberry or pomegranate juice, chilled
  • 1 cup (240 ml) pineapple juice, chilled (optional)
  • Ice ring or large ice cubes
  • Gummy worms or plastic spiders for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill everything overnight: soda, juices, and sherbet.
  2. Make the ice ring: pour about 2 cups of cranberry or pomegranate juice into a bundt pan. Add berries or citrus slices if desired. Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Set up your serving station with a clear punch bowl or beverage dispenser.
  4. Pour in the cranberry or pomegranate juice, then add pineapple juice if using. Stir gently.
  5. Slowly pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda or ginger ale down the side of the bowl to preserve fizz.
  6. Carefully unmold the ice ring and slide it into the punch bowl.
  7. Right before serving, scoop the entire pint of orange sherbet into the punch bowl in big dollops. Do not stir.
  8. Garnish with gummy worms or plastic spiders if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Don’t add the sherbet too early—wait until guests are arriving. Use a clear bowl to show the visual effect. For a grown-up version, set out vodka or rum for adults to add individually. Double the recipe for large parties. Keep extra soda and sherbet on hand to refresh the punch.
