These Spiderweb Sriracha Deviled Eggs are a crowd-pleasing appetizer with a spicy kick and a stunning spiderweb design. Perfect for parties, they combine creamy yolk filling with sriracha heat and are surprisingly easy to make ahead.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives or green onions
  • 2 teaspoons sriracha (for decoration)
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise (for decoration)
  • A toothpick or wooden skewer

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs: Place eggs in a large pot in a single layer. Cover with cold water by 1 inch. Add vinegar and salt. Bring to a rolling boil, cover, turn off heat, and let sit for exactly 12 minutes.
  2. Ice bath: Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water and let sit for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Peel the eggs: Tap each egg to crack the shell, roll between palms, and peel starting from the wider end. Rinse and pat dry.
  4. Cut the eggs: Slice each egg in half lengthwise. Remove yolks to a bowl. Arrange whites on a platter.
  5. Make the filling: Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, sriracha, rice vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth. Adjust seasoning.
  6. Fill the eggs: Transfer filling to a piping bag or zip-top bag with a snipped corner. Pipe into egg whites, mounding slightly.
  7. Create the spiderweb design: Mix 2 teaspoons sriracha with 1 teaspoon mayonnaise. Drizzle a small dot in the center of each egg. Drag a toothpick outward in straight lines, then curved lines between them to create a web pattern.
  8. Garnish and chill: Sprinkle chives over eggs. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use eggs at least a week old for easier peeling. The spiderweb design is easier than it looks; even imperfect webs look cool. Make ahead up to 24 hours. For milder version, reduce sriracha to 2 teaspoons in filling and skip the web decoration.
